Harrison Boosts Industry Expertise at McDonough Elevators

Kevin Harrison, Manager of Operations, joined McDonough Elevators in May 2013 in conjunction with the acquisition of Hoist-Co, Inc.  Harrison is a rack and pinion industry expert and holds numerous state licenses and qualifications.  He augments an already impressive team at McDonough Elevators which has been an industry leader for many years.

Lately Harrison has taken on the role of Committee Secretary for the Rack and Pinion/Special Purpose Sub-Committee to the ASME 17.1 code.   He is a long standing sub-committee member; his most recent position was serving for six years as the Vice-Chairman of the sub-committee.

Harrison has fielded many rack and pinion questions during his tenure on the committee and sees the committee’s purpose as a way to define the intent of the ANSI code for the elevator industry and elevator users alike.  “Having this level of knowledge about the codes that govern our industry is definitely an advantage for McDonough Elevators’ customers.  We can advise them on the best solutions for their special needs,”  stated Harrison.  “Just give us a call; I’m sure we will find a workable solution for you.”
