McDonough Gives ULA a lift on Space Launch Complex #37
McDonough Elevators is proud to be part of United Launch Alliance’s Launch Complex No. 37 at Cape Canaveral, Florida. The project was a turnkey project including the removal of the existing elevator and the installation of a new rack and pinion elevator to deliver workers and material to the upper floors of the launch complex. The project required multiple mobilizations as the installation occurred during a launch time cycle. The elevator was completed on time and on budget.
The rocket shown in the picture is the Delta IV rocket used to launch a national security space satellite to orbit. Through the years, McDonough Elevators has supplied elevators for ULA’s Launch Complex No. 41 at Cape Canaveral, Stennis Space Center, and Space X in Hawthorne, California. Our technicians are experienced in successfully managing the many challenges created by working on a live launch site.
